Protocol review and approval timeline

Approval of a new protocol usually takes 6-8 weeks. The timetable depends on responsiveness of
the PI to question by the IACUC, significance of clarifications and corrections required, the
schedule of IACUC meetings, necessity of involving outside experts. Renewal protocol review
may take less time.
