KICKOFF EVENT

NAR-SAR-IPH KICKOFF event took place on October 16th bringing together over 80 professionals from different institutions.

ERA Chair Holder, Prof. Narine Sarvazyan opened the event. Welcome speeches were given by Prof. Naira Ayvazyan, IPH Director and Project Coordinator, Prof. Rouben Aroutiounian, Academician-Secretary of the Division of the Natural Sciences of NAS RA and Mr. David Avakian, International Cooperation Officer, EU Delegation to Armenia.

Keynote speaker, Mr. Tigran Arzumanyan, Chairman of the Scientific and Innovation Partnership Assistance Centre and EU Horizon Europe NCP Coordinator provided an overview of Horizon Europe Programme and opportunities for research excellence.

Half-day agenda included presentations about new scientific directions, anticipated structural changes and strengthening of the research compliance environment.

Remarks were provided by Prof. Murray H. Loew from George Washington University, Ani Obosyan, Director of National Accreditation Body, other partners and guests.

Broadcast of the event by H1 National TV Channel included interviews with IPH Director, ERA Chair Holder and her team members. It also included shots taken a few days prior to the event and presenting ERA Chair team’s work in the newly established and equipped laboratory facilities.

KICKOFF event was followed by two other events that are closely linked with the overall objectives of NAR-SAR-IPH Project – BIO-SEE Annual meeting 2023 and 80th Anniversary of the L.A. Orbeli Institute of Physiology.
